Charles Hardin Holley known professionally as “Buddy Holly” born September 7th 1936 was a pioneer of “Rock & Roll” Framed guitarThe spelling of “Holley” to “Holly” came about because of an error in a contract he was asked to sign, listing him as “Buddy Holly”

 

Sadly his success lasted a year and a half before he, The Big Bopper, & Ritchie Valance, died in a tragic plane crash in 1959

 

Buddy Holly is described as the single most influential creative force in “Rock & Roll” with hits like: Oh Boy, Maybe Baby,  Rave On, That’ll Be The Day, and of course “Peggy Sue”
